Hope For Another Season

It was just another one of those days when nothing special was happening. I was standing in line to make a deposit at the bank. Bored and losing my patience I looked at the clock. Suddenly I heard a gunshot, the bank alarm went on and everybody just started screaming. I couldn’t believe it. I was in the middle of a robbery, an innocent witness who could lose her life for no reason. The panic was to be felt among us and the tears were to be seen even on the toughest man’s face. The attackers promised us that we won’t get hurt if we collaborated.
My knees were shaking, my hands were cold and I couldn’t look up. I knew that it could be a bad move and it would be like looking a possible ripper into the eye. I was just sitting in my corner, with my eyes closed hoping and praying that it will soon be over. I constructed a lot of images in my mind listening to the horrible sounds around me.
Soon I felt a warm touch on my hand. It was the moment to open my eyes and see the reality. I was being rescued and so were the others. Our faith and prayers were listened to and evil was defeated once again.

Rambling CHristmas

Ok guys, well, the season is half over now as we head into the Christmas break. But that does not mean you should slack off.
Of course, I want you to enjoy your 2-week vacation, but remember that the gym will be open on Christmas Eve and the day after Christmas as well so come on over for free shoot-around.
We have to stay sharp as the second half of the season always plays out a little more difficult. Teams will be gunning for us, especially with out recent run of success in the tournaments and on the road and at home.
I want each and every one of you to have a great vacation and I will see you when you come back in 2009!

Saddle Up For The Road Ya’ll

I am so excited that we are getting on the road this week to head out for a regional tournament in Springfield. Each and every one of you has worked hard for us to earn our spot here and that means we need to capitalize on this opportunity.

There will be teams from all over the state out there this time and I think we are seated in the top 5 (we won’t know for sure until we get there and check in). This means that the pressure will be on us because the lesser teams are going to be gunning to knock us out. They’d love to hang on their walls the pride of taking down the Ramblers.

With this in mind, let’s all be sure to get a good night’s sleep before we get on the road. It’s about a 6-hour drive down there and in order to save on hotel costs we are going up early in the morning and will play our first game on Tuesday around 3PM.

Parents, you are the support structure that makes this all possible and let’s kep that good reputation going! Be there at 3AM at the courts so we can muster up and take off!

Hey There Rambling Fans

Well fans, the season is well underway and the boys are kicking it into high gear. I have been most impressed with the character the kids are showing at the practices. In fact, for being in middle school, these guys and gals are really showing that winning spirit that is needed to rise to the city championships.

Of course, winning isn’t everything, but it sures makes the kids want to play harder the next week right?

On a not to you parents, I really appreciate you taking the time to get the kids to the practices and games on time every week. Your committment does not go unnoticed!

thanks again and let’s all cheer on the Ramblers!
